my summer

it's been ages. but i'm back.
this summer, i worked. when i left for spring break, i got a job as a kidergarten TA. needless to say, i didn't return third quarter to wwu. after the munchkins graduated into first grade, i got another job as a babysitter. i learned many things.
i learned that toddlers love to make you agitated. i learned how to effectively threaten a two-year-old into obedience. i also learned how to change diapers. that, i could have done without. my ears have miraculously tuned out the incessant cries of babies, and my ability ignore has skyrocketed. i have learned a great deal. it would be a fairly boring summer if that was all I did. but it wasn't. i went to summer camp. which wasn't as great as i remembered it from years before. my cousin from canada came with us--she wasn't as annoying and immature as i remembered her. many things changed as you can see. maybe....i grew up? i matured? hmmm. interesting. after summer camp, i worked some more and then departed for canada. visited there with family, being cousins, uncles, and aunts--and after spending a week in canadia, we went directly to pastors retreat. mivoden again. i don't recall that very well. maybe it was so uneventful nothing got stuck in my memory.
the only monumental occurrence fo my whole summer experience was the announcement that we were to move to college place. the one place i refused acknowledge as a possible new move, is now our home. we moved last week on monday. the house is nice i suppose. there are two stoves. more cooking? but i am now in the dorm. typing away. attempting to catch up and get rid of this lingering feeling of laziness.
i'm in school now. i have to get serious.

basketball and other things

the friendship tournament. ah, i miss going to it. coming to walla walla and playing game after game against other teams congregated here. participating in competitions: free throw, three-point . . . they were all great. and watching the final games to determine the winner. of course, my school never made it, we were a small school. but anyways, now it's the tournament again. and instead of playing in the games, i get to watch them! it's still fun, and i still get excited from just watching it, but it can get very stressful . . .
but, it can't be helped. that's the way it is. hmm, i don't know if there's really a point to this blog other than just writing what's going on.

i haven't done a new post in a while...so here i go!
it seems the teachers like to speed things up for the second quarter. really, it seems like they go over new material twice as fast. sheesh. hmm....anything new. let's see....obviously this won't be a very deep, meaningful, and impressive blog. but it's a new one and that's what counts! because a certain person has been um...bugging me to do a new one. new, knew, nu? know, now? i used to get confused with those. but not "nu" because i don't think that's a word. anywho, i hope everyone is having a good life.
